Kailash Satyarthi's stolen Nobel replica recovered, 3 arrested

The police said that they have detained three people in connection with the theft, on Sunday, reports The Times of India. Earlier, the police reported about identifying the burglars and were preparing to arrest them. On February 7, the burglars broke into the New Delhi residence of India's 2014 Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi and stole a replica of his medal along with some mementos and jewellery. When asked about the theft Satyarthi said he was very upset regarding the “unfortunate incident”. He also added that he his determination of working for the children’s cause has been strengthened because of the theft. Satyarthi who is a child rights activist won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 and shared the prize with Malala Yousafzai. Indian President Pranab Mukherjee presented Satyarthi his Nobel Peace Prize medal in January, 2015. The original medal is on display at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum.
