BJP youth wing's innovative protest against growth of mosquitoes in Agartala

Due to growth of mosquitoes across Tripura, seven Ramnagar Block Committee workers of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, the youth wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), staged a protest on the streets of Durga Chowmuhani, Agartala on Saturday. As a sign of protest, the Yuva Morcha workers installed mosquito-curtains across the streets of the aforementioned area. They also skewered the blame upon the Agartala Municipal Corporation for its inability rendered in tackling the menace. The protesters alleged that the corporation has not taken adequate steps in dealing with this situation. Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) has not been sprayed up to the mark. The police and municipal corporation officials rushed to the spot and engaged in a negotiation with the protestors for a while. Thereafter, the protest was withdrawn. However, the BJP Yuva Morcha threatened to launch a massive agitation if the administration does not act. The protest was led by BJP Yuva Morcha State President Tinku Roy.
