Several Indian media outlets took a dig at the Tripura Governor for contempt of court despite his incumbency in a constitutional post. India’s Supreme Court imposed a ban on the sale of firecrackers at Delhi on October 9. The court order would be on effect till November 1. The apex court observed that Diwali should stay free of noise pollution this year. The Indian radical Hindu party Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) cried foul over this verdict with the Tripura governor singing a similar tune. The Muezzin is supposed to shout Aazan from the minarets, which is why the minarets are there! Use of loudspeakers, thus is contrary to Islam!
