At least ten people were killed and many others feared trapped after a three-storey building collapsed in Mumbai today, NDTV reported.
At least two of the deceased were children. Fourteen people have so far been rescued.
The Shakuntala building, in Mumbai locality of Thane, collapsed around 2:30am, according to the NDTV website. The 35-year-old building housed nine families.
Six fire tenders were rushed to the scene and rescue work is currently in progress.
The incident comes two months after a building collapse in Mumbai killed 70 people, and another collapse due to heavy rain in Mumbai’s Mahim area killed two.
