Report: Hillary to tap Biden as secretary of state

Although the Democratic nominee has yet to announce so, she has indeed prepared a list for her chiefs of staff options.

Joe Biden, 73, is nearing the end of his two-term run as vice-president to Barack Obama. He has served as chaiman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee before becoming the VP.

Biden's 44-year long political career has seen him at loggerheads with Clinton over the past decade on many issues – like the mission to kill Osama Bin Laden – and raises the possibility that he will serve as a counterweight to Hillary's stances on foreign issues, reports Politico.

The source added that the vice-president has not been reached out just yet. But, he is at the top of the list of potential Secretary of State, if Hillary wins.
