US President Donald Trump fired off an early morning tweet on Friday saying he had been "vindicated" by the James Comey hearing, adding that the former FBI director was a "leaker."
The tweet broke a mysterious period of silence on social media for the president, who until then had not tweeted since June 7.
Despite so many false statements and lies, total and complete vindication...and WOW, Comey is a leaker!

Trump also claiming “total and complete vindication” on James Comey’s testimony.
Trump’s attorney issued a statement claiming Comey’s testimony proved the president was not under investigation, although the former FBI director promised to go into more detail with senators in a private session.
The president characterised the FBI director he fired as a liar, but he also claimed Comey’s testimony had vindicated his own assertions.
