Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar on Monday made the case for electing former Vice President Joe Biden for those "in the middle."
"If you feel stuck in the middle of the extremes in our politics, if you are tired of the noise and the nonsense, you have a home with me and you have a home with Joe Biden," she said.
Unity isn’t about settling. It’s about striving for something more. It’s about reaching up toward a higher purpose, a better future for all of us.

Klobuchar effectively pulled herself out of contention to be Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden's running mate, saying she felt that the historic moment required picking a woman of color.
Klobuchar competed against Biden for the party's presidential nomination before endorsing him.
Biden praised Klobuchar's "grit and determination" on Twitter and said that "with your help, we're going to beat Donald Trump."
