Airlines halt Middle East flights amid Israel-Iran conflict

Due to air space limitations and safety concerns, foreign airlines have decided to stop flights to some Middle Eastern destinations as a result of Israel's operations against Iran.

Following the US strike on Iranian nuclear sites, the crisis reached a new phase, and some airlines took the decision to stop flights to major cities like Dubai and Doha, Qatar. Reports Reuters.

Here are some of the airlines that have suspended flights to and from the region:

Etihad Airways

Cancelled flights between Abu Dhabi and Amman until June 20, and between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv until July 15.

Emirates

Temporarily suspended flights to and from Iran (Tehran) and Iraq (Baghdad and Basra) until June 30.

Lufthansa Group

Lufthansa halted flights to Beirut until June 30 and to Tel Aviv and Tehran until July 31.

Flights to Amman and Erbil are cancelled until July 11.

The airline will also avoid the airspace of affected countries until further notice.

Delta Air Lines

The US airline reported potential disruptions to flights to and from Tel Aviv between June 12 and August 31.

Qatar Airways

Temporarily canceled flights to and from Iraq, Iran, and Syria.

Ryanair

Suspended Tel Aviv flights until September 30.

Singapore Airlines

Cancelled Singapore–Dubai route until June 25.

Pegasus Airlines

The Turkish airline suspended flights to Iran until July 30, and to Iraq, Lebanon, and Jordan until June 30.

AirBaltic

Latvia’s national airline has cancelled all flights to and from Tel Aviv until September 30.

Aeroflot

The Russian carrier suspended flights between Moscow and Tehran and rerouted other services in the region.

Air Europa

The Spanish airline halted flights to and from Tel Aviv until July 31.

Air France-KLM

Air France suspended all Tel Aviv flights indefinitely.

KLM canceled flights to Tel Aviv until at least July 1 and warned of possible disruptions to Beirut routes until June 29.

Flights to Riyadh and Dubai were also suspended on June 22 and 23.

El Al Israel Airlines

El Al and Sundor canceled regular flights through June 27. Departures through July 15 are closed for new bookings pending security updates.

Flydubai

Flights to and from Iran, Iraq, Israel, and Syria are suspended until June 30.

IAG (British Airways and Iberia Express)

British Airways suspended Tel Aviv flights until July 31, and flights to Amman and Bahrain until June 30.

Dubai and Doha routes resumed June 23 after a brief halt.

Iberia Express cancelled Tel Aviv services until June 30.

Israir

Cancelled all Israel-bound flights until June 30. No flights are available for sale until July 7.

ITA Airways

The Italian carrier extended its Tel Aviv suspension until July 31, including flights scheduled for August 1.

Tarom

Romania's national airline suspended flights to Tel Aviv, Beirut, and Amman until June 24.

Tus Airways

Cancelled all flights to and from Israel until June 30. Departures between July 1 and 7 are currently not available for booking.

United Airlines

Flights to Tel Aviv may be affected between June 13 and August 1. Dubai routes may also be impacted between June 18 and July 3.

Wizz Air

Suspended flights to Tel Aviv and Amman until September 15. The airline will avoid flying over Israeli, Iraqi, Iranian, and Syrian airspace until further notice.
