Khamenei vows strong retaliation, urges unity after Israeli strikes

In a statement on June 13, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei calls for unity among Iranians and promises support for the Armed Forces. He condemns Israel’s attack as a grave mistake and vows strong retaliation for the loss of commanders, scientists, and civilians.

He expressed sorrow for the loss from Israeli attacks, “I offer my greetings to the dear and noble people of our country. I extend my congratulations and condolences to the Iranian nation and the families of the martyrs on the martyrdom of our beloved commanders, scientists, and a number of civilians which of course is a heavy loss for everyone,” according to khamenei.ir.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that Israel has made a serious and reckless mistake. He warns that the consequences will lead to Israel’s downfall. Khamenei emphasizes that Iran will not let the martyrdom of its people or airspace violations go unanswered.

He stated that Iran’s Armed Forces are fully prepared, with the support of the country's officials and people. He noted that all political factions and groups across Iran are united in their belief that a firm response is necessary.

He also said: “We must give a strong response,” and added, “God willing, we will respond with strength, and we will show them no mercy.” Khamenei warned Israel not to think the matter is over, stating: “They are the ones who have started this and have begun a war.”

He assured the nation that the Zionist regime “will not escape safely from the heinous crime that they’ve committed.”

Khamenei emphasized that Iran’s Armed Forces “will deal heavy blows to this evil enemy,” and expressed confidence that the Islamic Republic “will triumph over the Zionist regime, by the will of God.” He urged the Iranian people to remain confident, promising that every effort would be made to retaliate.
