The number of people who have died in hospital in Britain from the coronavirus has risen to 12,107, according to health ministry figures published on Tuesday.
This is an increase of 778 on the previous day and official figures also showed that the number of people who have tested positive for Covid-19 has reached 93,873.
More than 120,000 dead worldwide
More than 121,000 people have died worldwide from the coronavirus in 210 countries and territories.
There have been 1,923,390 reported infections since the virus emerged in China in December.
The United States has the most deaths of any country with 23,649 fatalities and 582,594 reported infections.
Italy follows with 20,465 deaths, Spain with 18,056, France 14,967 and Britain 11,329.
