Gmail services have been down for many users across the world in a major outage complained by a number of users including those in Bangladesh.
Indian and British media also reported the issue.
The outage tracking website Downdetector.com reported a spike in Gmail outage status since Saturday evening. There was just one report at 7:07pm and the number skyrocketed to 1,500 at 8:37pm.
Much of the problems seem to stem from receiving mail, which stood at 90% of the reports while 3% related to sending or logging in and 7% were due to server connection as of 9pm.
The Google-owned platform, which has over 1.5 billion users worldwide, is among the top downloaded apps of 2022.
A heat map shows the main hotspots being in London, Manchester and Cambridge.
According to the reporting site: "Downdetector only reports an incident when the number of problem reports is significantly higher than the typical volume for that time of day."
