A woman has been jailed in the UK after she was secretly recorded assaulting her two-year-old son and forcing him to eat his vomit. The Crown Court of Luton jailed the 33-year-old British-Bangladeshi woman for 16 weeks calling the incident “sickening” and “cruel.” This incident took place on June 21 last year. Footage from a hidden camera, installed by the woman’s estranged husband, showed the toddler threw up when he was being forced fed by his mother in the kitchen. The woman beat her son and forced him to eat his vomit. UK’s Asian community was shocked and appalled after the footage surfaced on social media. Prosecutor Laura Blackband said the toddler was also tortured at the hands of his mother even when playing in the kitchen. The child was even hit with wooden spoon. When he fell on the ground and cried, the mother shouted at him and was heard using abusive language. The woman got married in 2012 but the couple got separated after three years of tumultuous conjugal life. They had two children who lived with their father after divorce. The children were often beaten up by their mother whenever she came to visit them.
