To the dear people who wear your heart on your sleeves,
Who were excluded from invitations and get-togethers,
The ones spoken over when trying to contribute,
Ignored when trying to fit in,
You are so much more than that and I’m sorry if people have convinced you otherwise.
There too, are people who"ll embrace you the way you are,
Who won't be leaving you behind,
Share inside jokes and only with you,
Go on roadtrips,
Sing your favourite songs without the need to beg them.
Fulfill whatever the idea of friendship you've fantasized about.
Don't you hide away,
Lock yourself in a closet,
Let people in.
Your heart is made of gold because
You know what it feels like to be out there alone in the cold.
You have so much to give,
You are someone worthy and someone's idea of friend too.
