Bangladesh’s Mehedi Hasan Alvi reached the finals of the ITF Asian U-14 Division Two Tennis Competition in Bangkok, Thailand in the boys’ category.
Alvi beat Nepal’s Aryan Giri 7-6 6-1 in the boys’ singles semi-final.
In the other semi, Bangladesh’s Mohammad Roman Hossain defeated Jordan’s Mohammad Alkotop 2-6 4-6.
In the third place decider, Bangladesh’s Jubaid Utsha lost to Nepal’s Aarav Hada 0-4 2-4.

Meanwhile, in the boys’ doubles semi-final, Roman and Pakistan’s Hamid Israr Gul beat Iran’s Amirili Ghavam and Jordan’s Zaid Mashni 6-1 4-6 11-9.
In the girls’ playoffs, Bangladesh’s Mashfia Afrin defeated Kyrgyzstan’s Elizaveth Kiva 4-1 4-5 (10), Bangladesh’s Sadia Afrin beat Cambodia’s Srey Noch Nyem 4-1 4-1 while Bangladesh’s Suborna Khatun lost to Nepal’s Shubhagree Laxmi Shah 4-5 3-5.
Meanwhile in the girls’ doubles semis, Mashfia and Mongolia’s Erkhbilguun Byarbaya lost to Mongolian pair Maralgoo Chogsomjav and Mataa Chogsomjav 2-6 2-6.
