Watch: Adorable kid asks Federer why he is nicknamed the GOAT

A young journalist had a few questions for Roger Federer during a U.S. Open press conference over the weekend including a query as to why Federer is nicknamed the GOAT, reports espn.com The kid clearly did his research on Switzerland before the conference as he asked Federer about his Swiss roots. Starting out by establishing that Switzerland is cold and that they lacked livestock, the kid asked Federer, why he was called the GOAT. “Some fans call me that. I don’t call myself that,” Federer responded. “We have a lot of animals in Switzerland and goats are part of the livestock we have over there.” What the kid didn't realize was that the GOAT nickname isn’t a reference to the farm animal, but rather it’s an acronym for Greatest Of All Time. The kid had one more question for the tennis star. He asked Federer if he could continue to play for eight or nine more years, so that when the kid turns professional the two could be set for a match. Federer was a good sport and said that if he happens to retire before the kid goes pro, he’ll return from retirement to play againt him.
