Bangladesh’s Aishwarzo Rahman reached the quarterfinals of the men’s compound individual event at the Archery World Cup 2026 Stage 2 in Shanghai on Friday.
Aishwarzo began his elimination campaign with a 146-144 victory over Chinese Taipei’s Tzu Hsiang Yen to advance to the last 16.
He then edged past Slovakia’s Jozef Bosansky in a tense pre-quarterfinal clash. The match ended 146-146 in regulation before the Bangladeshi archer held his nerve to win the shoot-off.
Aishwarzo’s impressive run came to an end in the quarterfinals where he suffered a narrow 147-145 defeat to France’s Nicolas Girard.
