Bangladesh archers reach final in compound men's team event in Bangkok

Bangladesh archers made it to final of the compound men's team event of the 2026 Asia Cup World Ranking Tournament, Stage-1 in Bangkok, Thailand on Wednesday.

The team comprising Himu Bachhar, Aishwarzo Rahman and Nawaz Ahmed Rakib beat Bhutan by 232-228 points (60-57, 119-115, 176-171) in the semifinal.

The trio will face Vietnam in the gold deciding final match on Friday.

In the recurve men's team event, Bangladesh lost to Kazakhstan by 6-0 set in the quarterfinal while in the compound women's team event, Bangladesh lost to Thailand by 229-230 points in the quarterfinal.

In the compound men's singles event, Bangladesh's archer Himu Bachhar lost to his Indian rival Uday Kamboj 146-147 in the quarterfinal.
