Utshob rises to 81st in world boxrec rankings after historic WBC title

Bangladesh's rising boxing star Utshob Ahmed punched a massive hike in the latest boxrec rankings after securing first-ever World Boxing Council belt for the country earlier this month.

The 19-year old boxer clinched 81st spot in the world's super flyweight category.

He is currently the only Bangladeshi among top 300 boxers in his category.

Last Saturday night, Utshob defeated Indian boxer Mazhar Hussain to become the first Bangladeshi to win the WBC Asia Silver Super Flyweight title.

It was his ninth straight victory in professional boxing career with 100% winning record since making debut two years ago.

Utshob was a delighted boy once again after career best rankings Thursday and also expressed gratitude to the organizers.
