Sura Krishna knocks off Sornram in Bangkok to keep unbeaten streak

Sura Krishna Chakma maintained a 100% winning record in professional boxing with a knock-off victory over Thai boxer Sornram Sopakul at "Way of the Champions: Roar of the Dragons" held at Spaceplus Bangkok in Thailand Thursday.

The 28-year old boxer from Rangamati won the bout at 1 minute 50 seconds of the second round to extend his winning run to seven in a row.

Since his debut in professional scene in April, 2018, Sura Krishna never lost a fight in lightweight class.

His latest opponent, Sornram had more time in the arena with almost double bout experience than Sura Krishna but the ace Bangladeshi boxer ended up being the superior fighter on stage.

Last year, Mohammad Alamin won the super welterweight division title in the Evolution Fight Series in Thailand but Sura Krishna could not take part due to dengue fever.

The tournament took place in collaboration with the World Boxing Association Asia and the Asian Boxing Federation.

Bkash partnered with Xcel Sports Management to facilitate Bangladesh's participation.
