Bangladesh contingent welcomed in Hangzhou

The Bangladesh contingent participating in the 19th edition of the Asian Games received a warm welcome through a colorful program at Hangzhou Asian Games Village in China Wednesday afternoon. 

Athletes and officials gathered in the ceremony braving inclement weather.

Syed Shahed Reza, secretary general of the Bangladesh Olympic Association, led the Bangladesh contingent while Bangladesh chef de mission AK Sarkar and deputy chef de mission Brigadier General Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui were also present there.

Bangladesh’s flag was hoisted at the Games Flag Plaza as the national anthem was played.

Hangzhou Asian Games Village Mayor Li Huolin welcomed the Bangladesh team and wished them success for the upcoming event.

He also exchanged pleasantries with the BOA secretary general.
