Ace archers Ruman Shana and Diya Siddique won gold in their respective recurve singles event of the 14th Teer National Archery Championship which concluded at Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master Stadium in Tongi Saturday.
Representing Bangladesh Ansar, Ruman beat Misad Prodhan of Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan by 6-0 set in the final to emerge champion in this event for the first time since 2017.
Earlier, Diya, also playing for Ansar, bagged gold medal in the women's recurve singles after defeating Sima Aktar Shimu of Bangladesh Air Force in the final.
Diya also won another gold in the women's recurve team event along with Monisa Akter and Sraboni Akter, beating Dhaka Army Archery Club.
Ruman and Diya however, missed out on gold in the recurve mixed team event as they lost to Misad and Fahmida Sultana Nisha of BKSP by 5-3 set in the final.
Ansar dominated the medal tally with five golds and one silver while BKSP finished with three golds, two silvers and one bronze.
Bangladesh Police Archery Club bagged one gold, equal number of silver and three bronzes while Border Guard Bangladesh collected one gold and as many bronze.
