Panam group Dhaka city school volleyball 2019 tournament had its opening ceremony on Monday afternoon at Mipur’s Shaheed Sohrawardi Indoor stadium.
Jahid Ahsan Rusel, the chairman of youth and sports in Bangladesh, was the chief guest at the event.
A total of ten men’s teams – Baridhara Rajuk, Mohammadpur Preparatory, South Breeze Dhanmondi, MA Sattar, South Breeze Uttara, SOS Hermann Gmeiner, Cambrian, BAF Shaheen, Prithibir Alo and Kamar Para - and six women’s teams – South Breeze Uttara, BAF Shaheen, SOS Hermann Gmeiner, BISC, Scholastica, Green Herald and Mohammadpur Preparatory – will be competing in the group stage of the event.
