Ansar clinch Women’s Handball

Bangladesh Ansar emerged as the champion at the 29th Women’s National Handball after defeating BJMC 29-28 in a thrilling final yesterday at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali Stadium.

Ansar led the first half 14-13.

Ismat Ali of the winning side scored the highest 11 goals and was later adjudged player of the match, and player of the tournament.

Alpana of Ansar netted four goals, while BJMC’s Rupa notched six goals.

Earlier in the semi-final, Ansar beat Jamalpur 31-9 while in the other last four clash, BJMC defeated Police Club 31-15. Jamalpur finished third while Police Club ended fourth.
