Hornets SC made a winning start in the UniMed UniHealth Premier Division Basketball League 2018 that got underway with the participation of eight clubs at the Dhanmondi Basketball gymnasium on Tuesday.
Hornets however had to toil hard to beat The Gregarious by 70-66 points after the first half ended on 34-30. Gomez and Jamil scored 21 and 18 points respectively for the Hornets while Mithun and Rashed caged 16 and 14 points respectively for Gregarious.
The other participating clubs are Dhaka Gladiators, Dhumketu Club, Eagles Club, Rangers Club, Flame Boys and The Gregs Club.
