Bangladesh qualified for the second round in the compound mixed team event at the 2018 Archery World Cup Stage 4 in Berlin, Germany Thursday. On the fourth day of the event, Bangladesh’s Mohammad Ruman Shana and Nasrin Akter beat Great Britain’s Lucy Mason and James Mason by 156-155 points in the first round.
After scoring a record tally of points in the opening round, Bangladesh will take part in the second round Friday. In the recurve division, Ruman lost to South Korea’s Kim Woojin by 6-2 sets in the third round of the men’s singles.
In the recurve men’s team event, Bangladesh lost by 6-0 sets to Germany. In the men’s compound singles, Bangladesh’s Asim Kumar Das lost by 141-140 points to Italy’s Valereo Della Stua while Mohammad Abul Kashem Mamun lost by 133-130 points to Kazakhstan’s Antyom Gankin.
In the women’s compound singles, Bangladesh’s Bonnya Akter lost by 128-121 points to Sweden’s Ingrid Olofsson.
