Frederick set short-, mid- and long-term targets in order to develop the standard of the game in the country. Along with guiding the national side, his role would include upgrading the training process and increasing the coaching courses this year. The long-term goal includes achieving Bangladesh a stable position among Asia's top teams while the mid-term plan targets improvement in world ranking, as well as bringing more international success. The archery federation stated that Frederick's contract will be renewed in December every year. He was signed under the project "Teer Go For Gold" ahead of the federation's vision of Tokyo Olympics 2020. Frederick informed that his target for the Olympics will be focused on the team event, rather than the individual event. He added, "I want to look after the young talented archers here because it is very important to groom them for future." Meanwhile, Frederick enjoyed a successful six-year campaign as the head coach of Chile archery team before stepping down from the job in August last year in a bid to pursue "new challenge". During the Rio Olympics 2016, Frederick guided the then-16-year-old Ricardo Soto to a top 10 finish in his Olympic debut.
