27th National Table Tennis Championship: Javed, Soma clinch singles titles

Mohammad Javed of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party clinched the men’s singles title in the 27th National Table Tennis Championship in Paltan’s Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Table Tennis Gymnasium Tuesday. Javed beat Mohammad Rocky of Bangladesh Army 4-2 in the final. In the women’s singles final, Soma of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP defeated Rumi of Bangladesh Army 4-0.

In the men’s doubles final, Javed and Ridoy of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP beat Mohammad Tuhin and Palash of Bangladesh Army 3-2. In the women’s doubles final, Soma and Mou of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP defeated Saleha and Akhi of Bangladesh Biman 3-1. In the mixed doubles final, Rocky and Rahima of Bangladesh Army beat Parag Arman and Mou of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP 3-1.
