Bangladesh suffered a 2-1 defeat against the Ukraine in their last practice match, yesterday, ahead of the Hockey World League Round 2 in Singapore.
Bangladesh, who trounced Malaysia Under-23 5-1 in Kuala Lumpur last Tuesday, took the lead in the 40-minute affair through their penalty corner specialist Khorshedur Rahman but the Ukrainians restored parity a few minutes later.
With the warm-up match heading towards a 1-1 draw, Bangladesh conceded the second goal with just a minute remaining to the final whistle.
Bangladesh will open their Round 2 campaign against Japan tomorrow before facing Mexico a day later. Bangladesh will play their last Pool B match against Poland this Tuesday.
