Bangladesh confirms Junior Asia Cup hockey

Bangladesh has confirmed a ticket of the Junior Asia Cup Hockey scheduled to be held in Malaysia next year.

In the way to confirm the ticket, the host side has beaten Oman 7-0 in the Islami Bank Men's Junior AHF Cup at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium in the capital on Thursday.

Bangladesh gained nine points from three matches and will face Sri Lanka in the last match on Saturday.

Oman has six, Chinese Taipei six while Sri Lanka has three and Thailand failed to open their account.

Bangladesh took the lead with their very first penalty as Khorshedur Rahman drifted a low hit into the board after Milon's push and Sarwar's stop (1-0)

Forward Koushik doubled the lead in the 20th minute with a brilliant flick on free hit of Belal Hossain (2-0).

Forward Milon increased the lead in the 23rd minute with a diving hit after skipper Sarwar's hit deflected off the pad of Omani goalie Ahned Shaganah (3-0).

The fourth and the fifth goals were both scored by Khorshedur Rahman in the 30th (4-0) and 35th minute (5-0) and both of them were scored off penalty corners.

Fourteen minutes after resumption skipper Sarwar added the sixth capitalizing a pass of Koiushik fed him with a nice through pass (6-0).

Rabbi Salehin scored the final goal in the 58th minute (7-0).
