The Working Committee of Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) decided to withdraw the suspension of national star striker Russel Mahmud Jimmy during a meeting yesterday.
The final decision will be taken by the executive committee in the next governing body meeting this month.
“We discussed about the three suspended players in the meeting. The members of working committee decided to recommend the name of Russel Mahmud Jimmy to the executive committee to lift the ban,” said BHF general secretary Khwaja Rahmatullah yesterday.
The BHF at the end of last year suspended Jimmy, Zahid Hossain, Imran Hasan Pintu and Quamruzzaman Rana from the national side. Midfielder Rana’s suspension was withdrawn on October 27 while the BHF are also mulling to get Zahid and Pintu.
