Bangladesh's junior women's hockey team continued their impressive run in the Women's Junior AHF Cup 2026 with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Uzbekistan in Muscat, Oman on Monday night.
After a goalless first three quarters, Ema Nadira broke the deadlock in the 50th minute, scoring the decisive field goal to seal Bangladesh's second consecutive win in the tournament.
Bangladesh's Riyasha Rishi was adjudged the player of the match for her outstanding performance.
With two wins, the junior Tigresses sit top of the five-team table with six points.
Bangladesh will play their next match against Pakistan on Thursday.
The team had earlier made a flying start to the tournament by defeating Hong Kong China 6-0 in their opening match.
The Women's Junior AHF Cup features Bangladesh, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Hong Kong China in a round-robin league format.
The team finishing at the top of the standings at the end of the competition will be crowned champions.
