Bangladesh U-19 Women’s Hockey team lost to India’s SAI National Hockey Academy team by 2-1 despite putting up a good fight in their fifth friendly practice match in Maulana Bhashani Hockey Stadium in Dhaka on Monday.
Bangladesh scored in the 9th minute of the match, as Zuraiya Ferdous scored from a penalty corner. The lead stood only for two minutes as Lotia Mary equalized for SAI Academy.

The youngsters held the strong opponents up until the 43rd minute into the second half, when Mary scored her second and claimed a hard fought victory for the visitors.
The next match between the two teams will take place in the same venue on Wednesday, before SAI Academy leave Dhaka on the following day.
