Bangladesh beat Japan in hockey warm-up

Bangladesh earned a 2-1 victory over Japan in a warm-up match at Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium Sunday ahead of the much-awaited 10th Hockey Asia Cup, scheduled to get underway on Wednesday.Milon Hossain opened the scoring five minutes into the clock before Ashraful Islam doubled the lead in the 31st minute from a penalty corner. The visitor pulled one back in the 34th minute in the 40-minute-per-half friendly game.Meanwhile, six visiting teams out of a total of seven arrived in Dhaka Sunday. Japan landed in Dhaka on Saturday night while India, South Korea, Pakistan and Malaysia arrived in the capital Sunday.
