Siddikur breaks into top 10 at Queen's Cup

Siddikur Rahman broke into the top 10 of the Queen’s Cup after carding a brilliant three-under-par 68 in the second round to move jointly at ninth place at Santiburi Samui Country Club in Thailand on Friday. The ace Bangladesh golfer scored a total of six-under-par 136 to share ninth place along with Thailand’s Panuphol Pittayarat, Mithun Perera of Sri Lanka and Daisuke Kataoka of Japan. He finished 12th in the opening round with the same score. It was comparatively calm second day for Siddikur than the opening round. He played a total of three birdies and no bogeys on a day where it was windy on the front nine. Siddikur had three top 10 finishes at the same course in the past editions. After ending runners-up in 2012, he also finished third on two more occasions in 2014 and 2015. Meanwhile, Thai veteran star golfer Thaworn Wiratchant fired a splendid back nine 28 en route to an eight-under-par 63 to solely climb to the top with nine-under-par 133.
