Bangladeshi Ace golfer Siddikur Rahman showed a decent display at the Mercuries Taiwan Masters as he ended on joint fifth position along with three others at Taiwan Golf and Country Club Sunday.
Siddikur, the two-time Asian Tour winner scored four-under-par with a score of 284 after the four rounds of the tournament.
The most successful golfer of Bangladesh in global arena could finish much better had he made better performance in the fourth and final day when he scored a disappointing one-over-par 75.
However, his consistent performance of 70, 71 and 68 in the 72-par-18-hole circuit in the first three days respectively helped him secure top five finish and added 29,250 $ in his account. India’s prominent golfer Rashid Khan and Singapore’s Mardan Mamat, who have five Asian Tour and one European Tour title, finished on the same spot.
Thailand’s Suradit Yongcharoenchai sealed his career’s biggest prize cheque of 1, 80, 00 $ and win the title when he held on for a one-shot victory after his closest rivals failed to mount a challenge.
