Ace Bangladesh golfer Siddikur Rahman improved on his first-round position of joint 48th in the Yeangder Tournament Players Championship when he ended the second and penultimate round’s play yesterday at Linkou International Golf and Country Club, Taiwan at 17th place, tied alongside nine others.
Siddikur carded a brilliant four-under-par 68 to take his overall tally to four-under-par 140, seven shots behind leader Miguel Tabuena of the Philippines. The 30-year old Bangladesh golfer smashed six birdies against two bogeys in the second round.
The $500,000 tournament has been cut down from the regulation four rounds to three as persistent rainfall postponed the entire second day’s play last Friday.
