In a bid to settle a permanent patent for the national team jersey, the Bangladesh Football Federation has initiated an open jersey design contest and offered lucrative prizes for the winning participant.
The football federation is finally moving towards a permanent design of the national team jersey and the first time the new design will be on display will be in the forthcoming Bangabandhu Gold Cup, scheduled to kick off on January 29.
The open challenge has been titled “Jersey Design Contest” and the deadline of sending the entries of two jerseys – home and away – is this Tuesday.
The BFF has provided a few criterion to the participants. The first jersey’s design should contain the colours green and red, resembling the national flag. The second jersey’s design should also be primarily made up of the colours green and red or any other colour. Both the shorts, meanwhile, should contain the colour white.
The designs of both the jerseys should be submitted by email, according to the adobe illustrator format, to this address - bangabandhugc15.volunteer@gmail.com - by this Tuesday.
The winner of the contest will win free tickets to Nepal along with VIP tickets for all the matches of the upcoming Bangabandhu Gold Cup.
Till date Bangladesh national football team has displayed different national colored jerseys in different styles.
