PM attends sports ministry office

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended her office at the youth and sports ministry yesterday. State minister and deputy minister for youth and sports Biren Sikder and Arif Khan Joy briefed the prime minister about the recent developments in the sports arena during her three hours stay at the office.

The prime minister assured that the government will continue its support to the country’s sports arena and their development projects. It was learnt that she will also provide the recommendation of constructing mini stadiums in more than 100 upazilas and installation of 15 synthetic turfs in 15 cities across the country.

Bangladesh Football Federation’s request of providing a purse of Tk350m for the development project was also discussed by the prime minister.
