Pablo Gomez Revenga, the head coach of Real Madrid Foundation and the club’s camp technical director, is in Chittagong to conduct a three-day long coaching course at the port city starting today.
Revenga arrived in Bangladesh yesterday under the watchful eyes of YKK, the renowned zipper and other fastening accessories manufacturers. He conducted a similar course in Mumbai a few months ago. As part of YKK Asia’s CSR program, they invited the Real Madrid Foundation team to conduct a football clinic for the local coaches besides spending some time with the underprivileged children.
However, Revenga will not be scouting any player for the club nor will he engage in any talent developing activities. He will be conducting only the coaching course that will be participated by 30 coaches.
Maruful Haque, the technical director of Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited, feels the local coaches will benefit from the programme. “Revenga has a lot of knowledge and the local coaches would learn a lot of new concepts about modern football,” he said.
