The chapter of Rene Koster in the book of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) is most likely to be over as the Dutch assistant coach of the national team refused to return from Holland if his dues are not paid while the BFF said they will not pursue him if he intends not to return.
BFF general secretary Aby Naeem Shohag provided a detailed picture. “With the head coach returning after responding to our urge, Rene Koster said he will not return without the clearance of his dues.
“We asked him to return and receive the ongoing month’s salary like De Kruif but he did not agree so we did not send any ticket for him and said thank you,” said Shohag.
The Dutch duo Lodewijk de Kruif and Rene Koster agreed to take the Bangladesh job in January 2013 and the official deal was inked in the following June. The Dutch duo’s contract was renewed for another year a few months ago.
