Bangladesh to play two friendlies against Nepal

Bangladesh will host two Fifa international friendlies against Nepal later this month in Dhaka and Sylhet, confirmed Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) yesterday.

Nepal U-23 national football team is expected to arrive in Dhaka on August 25 and the two matches will be held on August 26 and 29. Earlier, following the invitation of BFF, Nepal’s football governing body All Nepal Football Association expressed their interest to play two friendly matches in Dhaka, and informed that August 25 and 28 will be the dates they will prefer for the two matches.

However, BFF had to defer the dates Nepal preferred due to flight schedule. Therefore, the first friendly will now take place on August 26 in Dhaka, either at the Army Stadium or the Kamalapur Stadium while the second match will be played on August 29 in Sylhet.

“Nepal football association expressed interest to play two matches after we invited them. We replied again last night (Saturday) with schedule details with the matches to be held on August 26 and 29,” said BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag yesterday.
