Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club’s Haitian forward Sony Norde has left Dhaka yesterday noon to try his luck for a Belgium club. He was granted a three-day leave for the trial by Jamal and he is expected to return to Bangladesh on April 14.
“He flew for Belgium today (Friday) at 1pm. He asked for a leave to go for a trial at a Belgium club and the club granted him three-day leave. He will return on April 14 after the trial,” confirmed Sheikh Jamal DC football manager Anwarul Karim Helal yesterday.
Norde earlier drew attention of renowned I-League clubs including Mohun Bagan and East Bengal after his sparkling display in the IFA Shield. He played a major role behind Jamal’s road to the final in the 118th edition of the tournament where he was also adjudged as the best player.
