The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has been nominated in two categories at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Awards 2026.
The BFF has been shortlisted for the AFC Member Association of the Year (Ruby) award and the AFC President’s Recognition Award for Grassroots Football (Silver), according to the nominees announced by the continental governing body on Friday.
Bangladesh will compete against Guam and Laos in the Member Association of the Year (Ruby) category, while India and Guam are its rivals for the grassroots football award.
The BFF won the bronze award for grassroots football in 2025 and has since moved up to the silver tier, reflecting its progress in grassroots development.
The federation will also be hoping to improve on last year’s outcome in the Member Association category, having missed out on the award.
The 30th edition of the AFC Awards will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 19, with the Aksra Theatre King Power set to host the ceremony. The event will recognise achievements across 19 categories.
