Bangladesh Football Federation on Friday announced the final 23-man squad for the upcoming friendly against Vietnam and the AFC Asian Cup 2026 qualifying match against Singapore.
Hamza Choudhury has been added to the roster, having not been named in the earlier 28-member preliminary squad for the training camp in Dhaka.
The men in red and green will leave the capital tonight for Vietnam without Hamza. The UK-based midfielder is scheduled to join the rest of the squad in Hanoi.
Bangladesh head coach Javier Cabrera trimmed the squad by omitting six players from the preliminary list on the eve of departure.
The six players are: goalkeeper Ishaque Akondo; defenders Isa Faysal, Monjurur Rahman Manik, and Shakil Hossain; midfielder Sohel Rana Jr; and forward Rafiqul Islam.
Bangladesh will face hosts Vietnam in a FIFA international friendly on March 26 before taking on Singapore in their final Group C fixture of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers on March 31.
