Young Bengal Tigresses face Nepal Sunday evening

Bangladesh will play against Nepal in their second SAFF Under-20 Championship 2025 fixture at Bashundhara Kings Arena Sunday.

Both the sides registered big-margin victory in their respective first match.

The home side thrashed Sri Lanka 9-1 while Nepal hammered Bhutan 6-1 at the same venue Friday.

Bangladesh’s Mosammat Sagorika netted a hat-trick while Nepal’s Purnima Rai scored four goals.

As the four-nation competition is being held in round-robin league format, the match between the two winners is crucial.

The top finisher after each team play each other twice will be crowned champions.

Bangladesh captain Afeida Khandaker said in a video message that they are targeting a win against Nepal at any cost in their bid to retain the title.

Afeida and Co did not train Saturday except recovery session at the team hotel.
