Quazem scores long-range goal as Police, Kings bag big-margin wins

Canadian-Bangladeshi Syed Shah Quazem Kirmanee netted one in Police’s 4-0 rout of Dhaka Wanderers at Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur Saturday, while Bashundhara Kings returned to winning ways with 4-1 thrashing of Rahmatganj.

Kirmanee got his goal from a stunning long-range attempt in the 84th minute after Al-Amin scored twice in the first half and Dipok Roy added one after break.

Kings meanwhile had four different scorers at home in the other Bangladesh Premier League encounter.

Jonathan Fernandes, Miguel Ferreira, Sohel Rana and Topu Barman netted one each for the holders while Nabib Newaj Jibon scored for Rahmatganj.

Both Kings and Police now have six points from three matches each and placed in third and fourth respectively in the table, separated only by goal difference.
