An open-top bus will welcome home the triumphant Bangladesh women’s football team following their back-to-back SAFF crown.
The Bengal Tigresses are slated to land in Dhaka at 2:15pm Thursday afternoon after beating hosts Nepal 2-1 in Wednesday’s thrilling finale in the capital Kathmandu.
This is the second time Sabina Khatun and Co will be welcomed home in an open-top bus following their maiden SAFF success in 2022 where they had also beaten Nepal at the same venue.
On the first occasion, thousands greeted them home as the Bangladesh booters paraded their way to the football federation office from the airport, and a similar reception is likely this time around after the women’s team bagged their second SAFF trophy, one more than the men's side.
