BFF forms election commission keeping Mezbah chief again

Bangladesh Football Federation has formed a three-member election commission for the upcoming BFF Polls 2024, again appointing Mezbah Uddin as chief election commissioner.

The other two election commission members are Suraiya Akter Jahan and AKM Ehsanur Rahman.

The three-member commission was approved during an executive committee meeting at the BFF House Thursday.

Mezbah was also the chief election commissioner in the last four BFF polls.

“He (Mezbah) was good at conducting the previous elections and everyone was confident. When his name was proposed, everyone kept faith in him,” BFF Ex-Co member Satyajit Das Rupu told reporters.

The BFF Election is scheduled for the 26th of this month.

The football federation’s executive committee also approved and finalized the names of 133 voter delegates and nine non-voter delegates including representatives from 64 district football associations, eight divisional football associations, different football clubs, academies, and institutions.

A three-member electoral appeal commission was also formed.

Dr. Mohammad Zakaria is the chairman of the commission while SM Harunur Rashid and Mihir Sarwar Morshed are two other members.

It was also decided in the meeting to renovate the BFF secretariat house and build a media center under the Asian Football Confederation Stadium Project.
