Bangladesh U-16 girls end South Korea tour on winning note

Bangladesh U-16 girls finished their 10-day long South Korea tour with a convincing 3-0 victory over local outfit Oju Middlle School Women's Football Club in their last practice match held in Paju on Wednesday. The girls are scheduled to return to Dhaka Thursday. Sanjida Akhter once again got into the scoresheet in the game that was dominated by the visiting side. The first two goals by Sanjida and Nargis Akhter put Bangladesh in the driving seat before talented striker Sirat Jahan Shopna netted the other in the dying moments to seal victory.

This was Bangladesh’s second victory out of four matches in their first ever tour of South Korea, which began on July 10. After losing to Asian giant South Korea U-16 6-0 in their first match following a day upon their arrival, Srimoti Krishna Rani Sarkar and Co thrashed Yulmyun Middle School side 9-0 in the second game.

The third practice match against Hwacheon Information Industry High School Women's FC ended in a 2-2 draw where the tourist made a comeback from a two-goal deficit. The girls stayed and trained at National Training Centre in Paju, which provides modern training facilities, situated in the north of Seoul.
