Di Maria sends autographed Argentina jersey for sports minister Nazmul

Argentine World Cup star Angel Di Maria has sent an autographed jersey of Argentina football team for Bangladesh’s sports minister Nazmul Hasan.

The jersey is now in Kolkata.

Di Maria addressed the sports minister through his nickname “Papon” in Spanish that states, “Señor Papon”, on the front of the jersey.

The 36-year old Benfica midfielder is projected to make his second tour to Bangladesh, and first after winning the World Cup, in late May as the final schedule is depending on the Portuguese club's Europa League fixtures.

Satadru Dutta, a Kolkata based sports entrepreneur who brought Argentine World Cup winning goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez last year, is arranging the tour.

He just returned to India after a trip to Argentina where he met the agents of Di Maria who handed him the jersey.

Satadru also visited the hometown of Di Maria and Lionel Messi in Rosario.

The sports promoter said he will come to Dhaka in the first week of March and hand over the jersey to Nazmul, who is also the Bangladesh Cricket Board president
